What is the best feeling a parent can have?
For me, it is watching the smile of my child and knowing its out of pure joy and wonder.
Last night, we were fortunate to attend Disney on Ice 100 years of Magic.

It was simply magical. I would swear Disney just waves a little wand or sprinkles Tinkerbelle’s dust. We could not ask for a better evening as a family. Fortunately, my husband got to experience it as well. As the sole income provider in our family, he usually doesn’t get to attend many activities with us. This is one even he’s glad he didn’t miss.
As a Feld Family Activator, we were able to attend a special pre-show meet and greet. Some special guests even took a few minutes before putting on their skates to pay us a visit.

But don’t fear there are some special photo opportunities available. Stop by the Toy Story photo booth and your child can have their photo with Buzz and Woody. Cost was approximately $10-$15.
After the meet and greet, it was onto our seats. Which were fabulous! It was perfect for our family. Our row was just off the floor which meant we had a railing in front of us. Great for preventing little 2 year old hands from petting the guests in front of us.
We arrived at our seats early. It was tough avoiding buying everything the ushers were selling….Popcorn, Fruit Punch, Cotton Candy with a Crown. And my oldest is an easy sell. Popcorn…I want some popcorn. Snowcones? I want one. We settled on the snowcones in the souvenir Mickey Cups ($10 each). They managed to keep my two distracted for 20 mins.

After snowcones and a quick bathroom break, it was onto the show. My oldest actually said to my husband in the bathroom “Hurry up Dad, I don’t want to miss the show”. They were back just in time for Mickey and Minnie to lead us through the enchanting Disney stories.
Aladdin and the Genie(s) stopped by.

Then Belle and the Beast performed a shortened version of Beauty and the Beast. Then all of the Disney Princesses joined Belle for a number. Perfect for all of the little princesses that were in the audience and wearing their dresses. I even saw two little girls dancing in the aisle. It was so precious.

For the boys their were plenty of action with Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the toy soldiers. Mulan battled the invading warriors in a snow storm. Pinocchio escaped from Monstro the whale. Last but not least we saw Simba and Nala from the Lion King.

The show wraps up with the Disney Castle in lights.

All of the performers make their way around the ice allowing everyone a chance to say goodbye to their favorite characters.

Don’t worry its not too late to experience Disney on Ice and the 100 years of Magic. Shows are available through the weekend. See details below.
Can’t make it to this show? The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be coming to the Palace of Auburn Hills November 18-22. On my list, the circus is definitely a can’t miss.
